Toyota reported best-ever February sales of 163,059 vehicles, an increase of 11.1 percent over February 2004. Toyota Motor Sales reported total year-end sales of 2,060,049 vehicles, up 10.0 percent over 2003. While breaking its sales record for the ninth consecutive year, it was the first time in TMS’ 47-year history it has reached sales of two million vehicles."Our products have stimulated demand," said Yukitoshi Funo, TMS president and CEO. "The sales milestone is a reflection on the acceptance of products as varied as Scion, Sienna and Prius."Camry became the best-selling car in America for the third year in a row and seventh time in the past eight years (1997-2000, 2002-2004), while the Lexus Division retained its crown as the best-selling luxury brand in America for the fifth consecutive year.
